Moltbot / Clawbot has gone viral as a new AI agent tool, but its rapid adoption is surfacing a familiar security issue: misconfiguration.

We’re seeing deployments unintentionally exposing the default API gateway port 18789 to the public internet—leaving control panels and connected tools open without proper protection.

This incident isn’t unique to AI.

Any software in your stack—from internal admin tools to legacy databases—can be silently exposed due to a simple configuration oversight.
